ORDINARY MEMBERS OF THE NORTHERN IRELAND
VALUATION TRIBUNAL
The Northern Ireland Judicial Appointments Commission is
inviting applications for appointment as fee-paid ordinary (lay)
members of the Northern Ireland Valuation Tribunal (NIVT).
The Commission

The Commission
will recommend to the Lord Chancellor for appointment the
applicants who appear to the Commission to be the most suitable
based on merit, regardless of gender, marital status, sexual
orientation, ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion,
disability, age or whether or not the applicant has
dependants.
It is intended to make ten appointments.
Eligibility
Subject to the statutory requirement age for the office there
is no age limit for this appointment. The statutory retirement
age is 70 years and the Lord Chancellor will expect a reasonable
period of service before retirement.
Applicants should note that the selection and assessment
process will incorporate testing.
Fee
The fee per day for ordinary members is £162.50. The
appointment is non-salaried and non-pensionable.
